What We Did

This was a project where we wanted to see what we, as singaporeans, could bring to the table in an already very established film industry in Indonesia.

❋ International Collaboration

As offline post-production was being handled by editors in Jakarta and Singapore, with online being handled in France, we needed something where everyone was kept in the loop.

❋ Tools Used

We used ZoeLog between the script department and camera departments, so that shot info and metadata can be combined into one spreadsheet, which is then synced to Silverstack XT on my end for merging. At the end of the shoot day, logs were sent to the offline editor in Jakarta with Frame.io’s Camera to Cloud system.

❋ Expert Facilitation

While there was a little bit of a learning curve with using a new system like ZoeLog, after proper guidance, reception from the relevant departments were good.
Any update from either the Camera Department or the Script Department is instantly reflected on everyone’s iPhones and iPads.

❋ The Result

This ended up increasing confidence in the quality of on-set metadata, combining manually written shot descriptions with LDS info fed into the camera from the lens.
